Review on Quality Beck Arnley CV Joint Boot Kit for Optimal Vehicle Performance by Adolfo Goins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent trunk not many clamps

This is an internal trunk for a 2006 Mazda 5, driver's side. also got an external trunk. Removing the axle is a tricky job that requires several special tools. First you need to remove the axle nut, which requires a large head, a breaker, and a very long extension handle. then the knocking of the axle shaft comes on the hub. Then disconnect the axle from the gearbox. If you're lucky you can do it with a crowbar, but you'll most likely need a fork and an upside-down hammer like I did. Then you need a bearing puller to separate the tripod from the shaft. While you're at it, we recommend replacing the oil seal on the transmission output shaft. In my case the boot had to be replaced at 125,000 miles and reusing the gasket resulted in a leak. So I had to pull the axle out again and replace the oil seal. Save yourself the hassle and replace the gasket for an additional $10.
