I ordered this cookware when I was replacing my cookware with cast iron cookware. Don't get frustrated knowing it's ultimately a one-time thing. I find circular patterns work wonders for cleaning the hob in a pan without requiring too much pressure. To clean the sides, it uses a brush-like motion by simply gently flicking the scrubber back and forth. If at any point you press it against the pans so hard that the bamboo breaks, you're doing it wrong. Care and feeding are also easy. Bamboo is antimicrobial, so washing it off and scooping out water won't make it uncomfortable. If it goes bad just buy another one, bamboo is cheap and renewable.
