The key fob cover is quite sturdy and does a good job of protecting the key fob from accidental button presses while it's in my pocket. Even better, it blocks the signal from the key fob. When the zipper is closed, the car cannot detect it even if it is pressed against the side of the car. This greatly reduces the chances of a skimmer thief getting your car's unlock code and stealing it. But you MUST have a zipper. A few things we considered shortcomings. 1. The included split ring is designed so you can't attach the keychain directly to it, you need to use another split ring which is not included. You need to pay attention to the size of the split ring you use to attach the key fob to the guard. If it is too big, it will be difficult to put the keychain in and close it.2. The zip on one of the two protectors we bought was defective. But the retailer was quick to respond, accepting the return and sending a replacement the next day. Overall I can recommend the dealer and the product and will buy it again.
