I bought these markers because all the modern day calligraphers I see make beautiful writing. As someone who wants to learn more about hand lettering, I would definitely recommend them. The brush tips are also more flexible, which can be fun to learn. For the price of 20 colored markers it's worth it!. I also paint with them and use them to add color to my pen drawings. No, the colors don't exactly match the plastic on the marker, but I don't care either. The combination is a little strange, but in the end. Yes, as other reviews say, parts of it are a little distracting, but I'm fine (I'm not overly picky). I love them and would buy them again
