I ordered this bluetooth device as an update to one that I ordered previously. They are a similar form factor, though this one is updated with BT5.1, a power switch, volume controls, and an audio cable. Overall, it has the same functionality, though its battery seems to last much longer and the controls are much easier to access. There was no audio cable included in the last one and I had not considered what a large difference this would make compared to the double-ended audio pin. Now I am not guessing what I am doing with the device since it is no longer against the stereo input port and I can also hold it closer to my face if necessary when making phone calls with it. I do modify the BT profile on my phone to only support music and phone calls. It would be nice if it recognised the activation words for voice assistants, though this may be more of a phone feature as well as an audio setup in the BT profile.Streaming from Spotify on my phone was very clear and the controls were responsive. Streaming my own music from MP3s on my phone was as clear. The sound was full and the bass was good. The other noticeable change from the older model is that this one uses a USB-C charge input instead of micro-USB. I am rating this five stars for its improved feature at the affordable price of 16USD. If you need a BT to mini-stereo adapter, I highly recommend this one.
