I love these things! They were a turning point in making my kefir and water kefir. I used to use cloth and rubber bands, but the bands would break from time to time, and then insects would get in and so on. Pooh. Needless to say I was so excited to find them and they work amazingly. I haven't made kombucha in a while, but I think they work just as well for this. They are very well made and fit perfectly in my wide-mouth glasses. The top of the colander will also work with regular mason rings, but I prefer the plastic rings that come with them for fermented foods over the metal rings. I'm thinking of buying another pack so I can have more jars at once!
