My 2012 Macbook Pro with DVI cable surprised me at how firm the DVI connector is on this thing, compared to another adapter I have that fits and plugged in smoothly. I really have to click on this to fully land it (manufacturing tolerance/quality control?). Connecting to my external monitor + my Macbook Pro's DVI cable was causing problems. Intermittent display signal; Sometimes it works when all the cables are in, sometimes it doesn't. I didn't check the HDMI or VGA port. It's not what I expected and will most likely come back for another. piss off!
