Review on Hafny Mirror Blast Resistant Automotive Anit Glare by Craig Shah

Works great in bike mirrors

I've been using a Sprintech drop bar mirror, significantly smaller than this Hafny, on my first road bike for about a year (and it works great, no complaints). So I got a new/second road bike and decided to try the larger Hafny end mirror and it worked better than expected. I would really prefer no mirrors but I live on mountain roads which are narrow, hilly and twisty so looking back is not always the best option. I love that you can adjust the position and then tighten with an allen wrench to hold the position. I leave mine a little loose so I can adjust and hit things when I'm not on the bike. Although it's a larger mirror, it's not overly large. My knees never touch the mirror on any turn radius of my bike. The larger mirror makes it easier to see the cars from behind than the smaller Spintech mirror on my other road bike. That said, I still find myself adjusting the angles here and there as my posture changes on long rides. My lenses came with tinted blue lenses, which I was not aware of when ordering and this is important to note. I have found that the combination of tint and sunglasses makes the cars difficult to see even in bright sunlight. When it's cloudy or it's getting dark, you lose sight much faster than with an untinted lens. I would still buy blue tinted lenses instead of non-tinted ones just because they look good and match the blue accents on my bike. In winter, when the days are shorter and the sun shines less, I switch to mountain biking.

  • Great product
Cons
