I received a new trolling motor with a quick release bracket that makes removing my trolling motor very easy. My old motor was wired directly to the switch and battery which would have been a problem removing the new motor. I installed it in the boat using the same hole the original wires went through, just modified a little. I bought the right connector separately and connected it to the motor. Now it can be plugged in and run or the motor can be unplugged and removed, which is very easy and much safer to store the trolling motor indoors, not to mention security.
