Review on πŸ“· Enhance Your Canon Photography with the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 Lens by Sirirat Benjakalyani ᠌

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

Sharp straight from 2.8. At 3.2 it is already very sharp, it β€œrings” directly. Chose from 4 copies in the store. There was practically no scatter between them as the lenses themselves and the picture - Tokina was pleased with the constancy. The 116 Pro DX II is a great wide lens just made for landscape photography. They can only shoot architecture at 16mm, as a noticeable distortion appears at a wider angle. For the same reason, it will not work to shoot people on it. The lens has all the features of wide-angle lenses: at a wide angle, strong distortion, XA, catches "hares" with a bang and the hood does not help much. With chromatic aberrations, things are somewhat worse than with everything else: they are at any aperture and getting rid of them is not so easy. Tokina has no problems with vignetting. Despite the fact that the lens is very highly specialized (its destiny is landscapes, landscapes and again landscapes, but it is devilishly good at it) and has a really very small FR range, it is worth its 20 thousand, which I gave for it and justifies this money every photograph he takes. Really high-quality and worthwhile thing that has no competitors in its price range. If you are a landscape painter or want to try yourself in this capacity - Tokina AT-X 116 Pro DX II is a good choice.

Pros
  • Aperture, AF, constructive, quality of materials and workmanship, equipment.
Cons
  • The native cover of the front lens is immediately in the trash (It is impossible to confidently remove / put or hold it - the pads on the lock under the fingers are too small, narrow and the cover constantly slips out. The solution is to replace it with a regular Canon one).
