I LOVE this lens! For the price this lens is a MUST HAVE. I use this lens on my Canon T6I and Canon 80D. I've used it for both paid real estate photography and amateur landscape photography! I will attach some pictures I took with him. Great for astrophotography, F2.8 is also great for indoor HDR shots, making the use of artificial light much easier. (So that I can use more natural light whenever possible). Thanks Tonika for a great lens!

Amazing and versatile

After a year of shooting with this lens I can say it's my favorite lens of all time. With the perspective this lens offers, some amazing shots can be taken with ordinary subjects. It's really helpful! Let him teach you how to use it and it will outperform every other lens in your bag. It lives on my Canon body as it has become my main lens more than half the time. I've shot Canon, Pentax, Ricoh, Tamron, Sigma, Fuji, Olympus, Zeiss and more but this is the first Tokina lens I've used and now I'm

So much potential good for camera lenses

To be honest I was so excited when I ordered this product. I read reviews, watched videos and everything is so good that I was happy to order the product. The box looked cheap when it arrived but who cares about the box. When I unpacked the lens it was a decent weight and the build quality was very consistent so I'm happy with that. When using the lens, I noticed that everything works perfectly except for the autofocus. The autofocus sucked. Daylight, indoors, low light, whatever. The autofocus

Good lens but no guarantee

The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that even though the description says it's a US version and that it should come with a 3 year warranty, it is actually a gray market lens and the warranty is only 2 years - and it is not valid in the US as it is from a third party Revain supplier, NOT an OFFICIAL TOKINA DEALER. So beware buyers. However, this is an incredibly good, versatile lens. It comes with a lens hood (you can search the web for a demo on how to remove the lens hood as it's…

Amazing lens for the price

So I've had a lot of time to get used to this lens. I've had it for about a year and a half now and I can honestly say I've really grown on it. My first major lens purchase was a Tamron 24-70mm F2.8 VC lens, which cost me over $1,000. Although I had this lens I really liked it but it was definitely difficult to use on the Canon EOS Rebel T3i as a crop factor came with a full frame lens on a crop sensor body. I did get great shots with this lens, but since it's more of a hobby for me, I really…

Fantastic lens, GET DIR

I shoot with the Canon T5 which has a crop sensor so I did quite a bit of research on wide angle lenses before buying this one. Since I mainly shoot landscapes, I wanted to add wide-angle lenses to my lens collection. I switched between several lenses, including one of Canon's cheapest wide-angle lenses, but finally settled on this lens because f/2.8 was the best I could find for a wide-angle lens. I wanted something that would go well with shooting stars and Milky Way shots, but would still…

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

Sharp straight from 2.8. At 3.2 it is already very sharp, it “rings” directly. Chose from 4 copies in the store. There was practically no scatter between them as the lenses themselves and the picture - Tokina was pleased with the constancy. The 116 Pro DX II is a great wide lens just made for landscape photography. They can only shoot architecture at 16mm, as a noticeable distortion appears at a wider angle. For the same reason, it will not work to shoot people on it. The lens has all the…

Pros
  • Aperture, AF, constructive, quality of materials and workmanship, equipment.
Cons
  • The native cover of the front lens is immediately in the trash (It is impossible to confidently remove / put or hold it - the pads on the lock under the fingers are too small, narrow and the cover constantly slips out. The solution is to replace it with a regular Canon one).

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

The product turned out to be surprisingly good, I would say wonderful, and in some ways even a unique and unique product. It is strongly recommended for purchase by many, and it is the second version (with the corrected shortcomings of the first. On the full frame, only 16mm is fully working. Personally, I took it for 25.890 as soon as it went on sale in a very large online store. 202220222022 - with the growth of the exchange rate, the lens again acquired its real value, even with some…

Pros
  • The second version of the wonderful wide-angle. Made in Japan. Excellent construct. It looks like a very expensive "glass" due to the coating of the lens surface and gold embossing, so it gives "solidity"))) Included is a good, in my opinion reliable, lens hood (with thick walls, ribbed inner surface). Convenient lid with central lock. Switching to the manual, from autofocus, "one touch", by shifting the ring. A wonderful, rarely repeated, angle, even for crop (I use it on 7D and this, by the way, was promised by many) and good focal lengths, just up to 17mm. Good aperture, f / 2.8, for evening and indoor shooting. Reliable metal bayonet fastening. The interior space is covered by a rear lens, so that the interior space is further protected from dust. HA somehow, so far, I haven’t noticed, although according to the reviews they promised. The sharpness is wonderful, juicy excellent picture. I won’t talk about bokeh, there’s nothing to it here, with such an angle, not the tasks.
Cons
  • The lens hood snaps on rather tightly (although it may still be new), but it is easy to put on, but every time I am afraid to take it off. ))) The autofocus switching ring, or rather the switching method, will definitely not appeal to everyone (at the moment of switching, you can knock down the focus, you have to focus again), but I liked it, very original. Someone will say that the focal ring is tight, but I will not say.
