Before I decided on these headphones, I did a lot of research. 5 stars for $100. I don't think I would have paid the original $180. I think these are possibly the most comfortable headphones out there. You will have a hard time finding something this easy. This is something almost every review I've checked agrees with. In other words, comfort is NOT NEGATIVE, OK BASS! everyone is moaning and whining about bass or lack thereof, let me put it in context. The bass response is clean and nice. It's only deep in some songs, adding depth to them rather than just overwhelming the bass. So if you're a bass freak, stay away and get some subwoofers. Can I say that rock music sounds amazing in these headphones, wow. I recommend listening to: Everyone loves me - One Republic. On another system - car speakers, home speakers, other headphones, and then listen to these headphones. The difference is amazing. The drums sound like I'm in the studio next to the drummer himself. The sound is so clear that I usually keep the volume 3-4 deviations below maximum. I never max out when I'm muting. it is not necessary. Some songs are much higher/lower than others and therefore need tuning, but usually this is not the case. And even with lower set songs, I don't have to do my best. I've noticed that the closer you get to the maximum, the clearer the sound becomes - rather than distortion, you get more clarity, which is impressive. Come to think of it, I've NEVER maxed it out to get the context - I've got a pair of $100 Seinheissers. The headphones have impulse 2 (in-ear headphones) and I often find myself at the maximum. Isolation - they isolate so well I CANNOT hear myself rapping to every song in my house! This is madness. I have to scream to hear my voice. and note that this is not the maximum volume. Appearance - I would compare this to a stock Honda Civic Si. Clean and elegant, but not flashy or stunning. In fact, if what you're looking for is based on attractiveness, you could do a lot better. I want to clarify what has been said in several Amazon reviews and even video reviews, which is that the plastic in the headphones was cheap. I totally disagree because it looks like it was specifically designed to be lightweight, but it never felt cheap. Okay, lastly the cord is quite long so you're in a good place if you're trying to buy something to wrap around the cord and adjust it if you need less or more. In fact, the cable is the only thing that seems cheap. The adjustment to the head is very precise, it doesn't move without much tension, it feels solid. And last thing overlooked, Kbps will definitely affect the quality of the listening experience. So a song at 320 kbps will sound much better than the same song at 190 kbps. I can already tell which of my songs are of poorer quality when I listen to them with these headphones. I think it's good that the cable and headphones can be swapped out.
