Although it maintains a volume reading when used as a blackout meter, it doesn't resume measuring until you press the start button, even when set to measure-only mode. I have informed the supplier of this defect. This particular unit, 1/4" pipe, should have a black connector housing on the gauge leads. If it is white, that means the wrong meter has been packed and it will not work; contact customer service to to have it repaired Returning it to Revain may not obliterate it.
