He does more than we would like but not bad at all

If you're looking for something fairly thin, this probably isn't the best option. This one isn't as flat as most of the others I've seen. I measured the fork and it's 3/4" thick. I've seen about half that size. However, the main reason I bought the plug was because I didn't want the furniture to rest against the cord of what plugged into the mains The plug is really good quality and has a really thick cord braided with fabric.
