Rubber Smell - Furniture Hardware

Works great on our hardwood floors. I used 8 for our chairs and 8 for the single beds in our small guest bedroom. But my god the rubber smell is so strong they had to be removed from the bedroom. A strong smell of rubber can also be felt in our cave as you approach the chairs. Any ideas how to get rid of that awful rubber smell? If not, I should send them back and try something else. Ok, I'll add my review. Gave 2 more days for the smell to dissipate and no luck. It's like walking into a tire shop. They're all back!
