I bought this phone for myself last Christmas. I wanted a land line with no answering machine for emergencies. A few years ago I bought a vintage phone from Pottery Barn. I liked its looks and functionality. Pottery Barn's phone lasted several years before breaking. This Crosley was made cheaply but looked beautiful. I liked that it has two ringer volume controls (low or high) and it fits well in my kitchen. The reason I only give it one star is because it only lasted a few months. Shortly after we started this, an annoying tone was heard during the conversation. It was awful and in the end I just couldn't justify using it. I dropped it and went to Best Buy, where I bought a slimmer and more modern phone for $16. Don't waste your hard-earned money on this phone.
