What You Need to Know

The first thing to know is that there are many different materials used in tie knives. The most common is probably carbon steel, which is prone to rust but is slightly more flexible. On the downside, this band knife is made out of stainless steel, so while it won't rust, it's less malleable (and so may not be for everyone). If you know you need a stainless steel band knife, this is still a great option for you. As with many other band knives I would suggest a modification - by grinding/rounding the ends I have found that you are less likely to create lines in the dirt on the end of your band knife.
