I decided to try a new more affordable protein as the type of protein I usually buy has gotten more expensive over time. I chose this product based on the price, reviews, and nutritional information. I had to stick with what I knew I liked. The protein looks nutritionally good, but I just can't get rid of the taste and smell of pea protein. If you've ever sniffed pure pea protein, you know what I'm talking about. I won't be able to drink this protein with just water like I do with other protein powders. And even after trying to mask the taste of pea protein with bananas and pork, there's still a distinct pea protein aftertaste. Since pea protein is the first ingredient I guess I should have expected it, but a few people have commented on the good taste. So if you have an aversion to the taste/smell of pea protein, don't choose it!
