The product is okay, it's not a waste of money!
Some pros: Easy and convenient, all you have to do is plug it into the computer, and it should work (at least for the next ten minutes or so). Some disadvantages include the fact that cameras that were popular 10 years ago are still available to buy, and the picture quality is just satisfactory. If you want it for $1,500, that's not a bad price at all.
