Review on πŸ”’ Locking Polyurethane Swivel Caster Wheels by Dang Esq

Revainrating 5 out of 5

3 " casters - strong and stable under tall narrow bookshelf

My college aged son has one of these IKEA Kallax bookshelves in his room. It is tall and narrow - approximately 58" x 32" W or 150cm high and 80cm wide. It usually serves as an excellent partition in his room. OK. He just bought one of those Oculus Rift S VR headsets for gaming which turned out to be way cooler than all the others here. that was expectable. You often get up when you're wearing headphones, and many games make you feel like you're somewhere else. So if you BOOM! Across the house, he just stuck his hand straight into his bookshelf because he'd just brandished a virtual gun or grabbed an item in a game he was playing. So the bookshelf had to be moved, but because it looks so cool where it usually sits and the extra privacy it usually provides lends little happiness to pandemic college life, it would be great if she could move around with ease. A test of 3 inch rolls follows. Worried about 3 inch casters rolling across a tall, narrow bookshelf - will the wheels be strong enough? YES - do the wheels make it easy to move the bookshelf and put it on the carpet? YES - do the wheels spin well but not wobble like a shopping cart during a tornado? YES - moves well and doesn't wobble at all - does the bookshelf wobble due to its shape or weight? NO - will the bookshelf look weird because it's even bigger than before? NO - Are Roomba's wheels high enough to fit under a bookshelf? YES The wheels plus bookcase were 100% perfect in every way. (Photos show the amount of stuff on the bookshelf plus a closer view of the wheel below.) FOR THE SCREWS we used coarse thread screws (4 per wheel) which have more spacing between turns than most other screws. made of. Only 3 out of 4 screws snag under the bookshelf as the filler is actually in the floor but that's ok. Very dense and hard. When doing a project like this, it's a good idea to drill pilot holes first. Speaking of toddlers, since the whole thing is stable and doesn't wobble, I don't want something like a tall, narrow bookshelf standing around even very young children on the strongest locking wheels - that sounds like a recipe for disaster.
