Review on Craig Electronics CR8000 Digital Voice Recorder: Simplify Your Audio Recording Experience! by Tony Elliott

Revainrating 2 out of 5

More of a toy than anything a serious person could use.

Weak. More of a toy than anything a serious person could use. Firstly, it requires 2 AAA batteries, which I think is fine for light use, but what makes it pretty useless is that there's no way to delete or back up files, so you're forced to do everything You want to manually decrypt save as soon as possible or you need to decide what to delete to free up space. A USB port must be present in order to back up files to another device. Many recorders have a USB port that does this and also charges the device, saving you money on the battery. Also, many of them offer the option to record in WAV or MP3 format, so you can email the recording or use it on an MP3 device such as a cell phone or MP3 player. This thing is pretty much free without the price drop you would expect. Poor value for money. When it arrived my first thought was "There's a call from 1985 and he wants his crappy voice recorder back." The volume is LOW so I guess you'll have to shout into it. I think you could get that, but for the same money you could do a lot better. Thing is more of a toy than a modern pro gadget, keep shopping and get at least something with 10 year old features FOR the same price. The thing costs a maximum of 4 dollars.
