These nylon bristles should only be used on the COLD Grill

. This review is for the Farberware 5261919 Large Grill Brush with Replaceable Head. I use a lot of grill brushes as we grill year round. This particular grill brush has a very nice ergonomic handle with finger grooves and a textured thumb area, as well as a long, curved neck. The handle design is one of the best I've seen. There is also a hook at the end of the handle for attaching to the grill or for lifting the grill grate. The brush head itself has a metal scraper to loosen the touch points and make cleaning easier. The actual bristles of the brush head are made of a stiff nylon material, which I don't like that much. I usually use metal bristle brushes because I like to clean the cooking grates after heating. However, these nylon bristles cannot withstand such heat and should only be used on a cold grill. This means you cannot use this brush to clean the grill right after cooking or after the grill has preheated. Time will tell if these bristles will last longer than metal bristles as metal bristles tend to bend and break after repeated use. Cleaning. Personally, I would rank these types of nylon bristles about a half notch below carbide bristles.

Pros

Cons
