Review on Extech USB100 RS 232 USB Adapter by Timothy Barnes

The adapter received does not match the photo in the description. All RS-232 USB adapters are not created equal. Some Extech instruments require IC adapters. I thought if I paid three times more for the Extech brand I would definitely get one with the chip, instead the seller sent me a universal RS-232 USB adapter that I could buy for less than $10 and plugged the an additional $35. The one I received was translucent blue, not greenish blue as shown in the picture, and didn't have the "Extech" logo on it.
