Anchor cables are getting bulkier and stiffer

I bought this cable because some people said it was flexible. I guess it's a relative term because I have others that are even worse than this one, but it's not a "flexible" cable in my opinion. If you look at the image on the product page, it looks like it has a solid aluminum screen. "I don't know why it might be a good idea for anything other than HF in the gigahertz range. The torsional flexibility is just terrible. Unless obvious to anchors, the visor should serve or be braided for flexibility, not tight. Cables that are constantly being manipulated or where flexibility is desired should not have solid conductors. In addition, it is large and bulky. Original Apple USB-C to Lightning cables have an outer diameter of approx. 3.4 mm. I have an Anker Powerline III cable which is also 3.4mm although it is less flexible than the original Apple cables. And just to be clear, even Apple cables are a lot thicker and less flexible than they used to be - I have a few with 2.9mm thick USB-2 connectors. They were good cables. Maybe more fragile, but I still have a few that are still fine a decade later and are much easier and nicer to use. They lie flat on the surface, they don't turn my airpods over. They put less strain on the connections. This is when more is not better.
