It is easy to use, especially for my 78-year-old mother. It was already loaded. As soon as you press the power button, it will start playing. So make sure you have earplugs in the device and in your ears. You can fast forward or rewind 3 options: 1 book, 1 chapter or 20 seconds. It is charged with a regular Android charger. They give you one, but the cord is short and doesn't have a charging head. It has a musical accompaniment with Bible readings of which I have little heard. I bought this because my mom has multiple herniated discs in her upper spine that hurt when she looks down. to read the Bible and because she has trouble reading it even though it is in large print. She loves it!
