. I have a 3 year old toddler and a 10 month old at my home making virtual meetings in the main living room difficult. I first tried my Bluetooth headset with mic and the laptop's built-in mic, both picking up any background noise as I had a party next to me. Then came this microphone. Chosen by price, review here and on YouTube. I used it for about a month before writing this review and I can safely say that MOST of the background noise is gone. With the volume knob at about 25% and I'm inches away from the mic and my college tells me it's better than before. From time to time they can hear their own voices, but they sound like they are far away. I also verified it by recording myself with loud music playing in the background and can confirm the same. As an added bonus, there's a physical mute button that changes the color of the LED on the microphone from green to red. Very useful for meetings when you want to mute and have a visual indication. Basically I am satisfied with the product.
