Review on πŸ”Š Rechargeable & Solar Powered Dual Sub Woofer Wireless Bluetooth Sound System - Rugged Rukus Xtreme+ by Joshua Talbot

Very balanced sound with amazing bass

I don't know how these people did this but I think there is some DSP (digital signal processing) behind the lines to add bass and balance the EQ. I'm surprised that such small speakers produce such a warm and balanced sound, including bass that you wouldn't expect. I grew up with boom boxes and the bass is better than them. Here's an interesting thing: I never liked Bluetooth quality, but I remember it from 2012. It's come a long way, so before I got it I bought a direct connect audio cable based on the common line that the cable is cleaner than Bluetooth. But on this device the cable sounds worse than Bluetooth. I suspect because it doesn't go through the same DSP filters as it does for Bluetooth; Either that, or they just aren't matched to the cable. So if you use a 1/8 inch stereo cable with this thing from say your laptop it will sound more mids, less bass and less balanced. I bought it for almost 100€ on sale and am completely satisfied. For this price. The volume is loud enough, especially indoors. It's not that great outside. And the solar panel is a good feature, but it takes a full day to charge. The device is very durable and appears to be made of good materials.

Pros
  • a handy thing
Cons
  • some little things
