It was a good deal, but . It took some time for the handle to work. It seems I tapped the tip of the pen for about 10 minutes because I didn't want to give up. I bought this to use on our granddaughter's new rocking chair (dark wood) - I was planning on writing a personal note on the underside of the dark wood seat and this white pen worked beautifully (I could see the ink RUN ONCE bring). I'm very glad it didn't dry out before I used it. So if you buy this and think it won't write, I would recommend having a little more patience and telling you to keep pressing the tip as the ink will (eventually) run out. In general, I am very satisfied that I was able to write "nicely" with this pen. And even more pleased that it came in a kit. so I will have more for "future" gifts. After writing our personal message on the underside of the seat, I sprayed a clear coat on it to make sure it wouldn't scratch easily.
