Worst ring light ever! There is a KNOWN issue with this indicator ring when you call Revain about your defective item, so BUYERS BEWARE! This lantern was delivered with a defect, with the base removed! Extremely frustrating as there is no way to disassemble the flashlight cover to install the part that should be on the base of the flashlight to attach it to a tripod. The tripod itself was even bent/crooked and always crooked unless you adjust one of the legs shorter than the others to fix the extremely poor build quality. This flashlight was useless and ended up in the trash because there was no way to get it to work (the washers have to be in the base so even the screws can get in because the holes in the plastic are bigger than the screw threads). and there is no way to separate the lid from the light without destroying it). When I called Revain about a defective product, I paid a $50 Uber to pick it up from the nearest Revain locker and received a "like new" factory inspection message. Revain customer service representatives told me it was a "known general issue with this product". So they don't even send a replacement product because others reported the same thing! The only reason I can think of 5 star reviews is because the company gives you a free money card in the box to give a 5 star review if you show your receipt and review link to their website. Forget this nonsense because YOU MUST KNOW THE TRUTH BEFORE YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT! AMAZON KNOWS THAT THIS LIGHT IS DEFECTIVE BUT CONTINUES TO OFFER IT FOR SALE. So many people have reported issues that Revain will NOT send a replacement, they will only apologize and refund your money if your purchase price is right. If you want a bad ring light that is just a ring/circle with no attachment as shown in the instructions, it doesn't attach to anything and requires a crooked tripod stand that falls on you and can't be used with a lantern. because the light doesn't stick to anything, then by all means throw your money away. I am writing this so YOU KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS PRODUCT! I was shocked when after finally contacting customer service I was told that this is a common problem with this light, to the point that Revain WILL NOT even send a replacement for it because IT DOCUMENTS TOO MUCH WITH THIS PRODUCT IS PROBLEM. shows over 2200 reviews with an average rating of 4.5 stars?!? So it's true!… According to customer service, this light is 80% defective and unusable. The base of the tripod mount is usually UNFIXED which makes the whole device trash and the tripod for it is often also defective due to tilt/deformation making it crooked although you could attach a lamp. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY! My Neewer brand ring lights and others are perfect, but this is by far the WORST light I've ever had. Even the 10-inch, 25W ring light worked better when I plugged in the circle without the base just to see if it would turn on at all. I strongly encourage you to avoid the same frustration and dissatisfaction I went through trying to troubleshoot a KNOWN ISSUE at Revain HQ, but these reviews don't reflect it because the company is paying money for 5 star There are reviews, but I'm not being bribed. This flashlight ended up in the bin and Revain didn't even want to pay to send it back to their warehouse due to all the known issues with the product and they didn't send a replacement. So if you take the risk, you just know what you're getting yourself into: a ring light that 80% of the time is broken and unusable, you only get your money back and no ring light. Don't waste your time and money. Choose the best brands like Neewer, YICOE, Switti or Samitan... The ring lights from these companies were amazing and never failed. I hope this helps at least one person escape the nightmare I was going through. Seriously, Revain's customer service has so much documentation about serious issues with this light that I don't understand how so many people rate it so highly (barring bribes for reviews by this company). Save time, money and frustration and buy ANOTHER RING LIGHT! This is the worst of the 8 ring lights I've tried.
