Not bad for the price, but not perfect.

I bought it until I found a stereo receiver with a phono input. It worked, but there was a hum in the sound. When I used the same turntable with the new receiver, the hum was almost non-existent, leading me to believe it was a preamp. The volume knob didn't adjust anything, but the level knob worked. Not sure what it was about? For the money it worked, but not perfect.
