Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, some maybe not.

First, I live in the USA This radio is best suited for the European market. I say this because some of the writing on both the radio display and the manual is in UK spelling. However, I had no problems with the radio here. I really like this radio. It has innovative features, but some might not like what it doesn't have. SIZE: This radio is great for taking around the house. Although it doesn't have a clock, it won't take up much space on your bedside table if you enjoy listening in bed. SOUND: This radio has good sound. There are low and high frequency settings. The audio is best on FM. Internet radio and Bluetooth sources are very quiet compared to FM stations. DISPLAY: As this radio is not very large it is backlit, the monochrome display is very small and may be difficult for some to read. The designers could have made it bigger. OPERATION: The software is very intuitive. The menu navigation is simple. A total of 5 buttons are required to access the menu system. INTERNET RADIO: There is good and bad here. Skytune makes it easy to navigate and find stations around the world. The search function is exceptional. Once you find them, you can save them to the radio's memory. You can also go to www.skytune.net to search their database without having to do it on the radio's small display. The downside of the Skytune service is that it doesn't offer many small channels. It also doesn't support iHeart Radio (except for a few) or Radio.com stations. In my opinion one of the best features of this radio is that you can use a computer to wirelessly connect to the radio's internal programming and add the station's audio stream URL. The program also allows you to name your station memories and organize their order. A NOTICE. You cannot use Tunein, Radio.com, iHeartRadio or other station aggregator URLs. MEDIA CENTER: You can play music files from your computer via UPnP or DLNA systems. However, some technical skill is required. I got it working, but I had to make some changes to where I store music on my computer. BLUETOOTH: Connecting to my phone was easy. However, I had to turn the volume all the way up on my phone to get a good sound from the radio. DAB: Since I live in the US, I haven't been able to verify that. FM: FM is very selective. The stations do not work together. As for sensitivity, it was about average. Stereo sound is available through the rear headphone jack. It also offers RDS. Only use the FM Scan function if you live near a large city. Not many stations are saved. However, you can save stations manually.

Pros
  • Internet Radio
Cons
  • A few little things
