This little shoe was a godsend. I go for an hour walk almost every night, whatever the weather, and after breaking my toe I really missed it. I ordered this boot, received it the next day and thanks to its thickness and closed toe I was able to go for a short walk in just 3 days after breaking my toe. It's been 4 weeks now and I wear the boot for long walks because my normal tennis shoes still hurt my foot. I also wear it all the time because I know it can handle rough terrain. I recommend wearing it with thicker, longer socks to keep the strap from scratching your ankle. I really like the main strap - it can be adjusted tighter or looser and there are also two shorter Velcro straps to keep the front strong. When I finally went to the ER, the doctor was very impressed with the boots and said they were much better than the ones they were wearing. I ordered medium and normally wear women's size 7.5. It fits very well.
