I wanted something more stylish for the top of my fridge to add some brightness and warmth to my retro kitchen and I am very happy with the look. It was neatly packaged and easy (and fun) to assemble. The product description says "warm white", but I would classify the color temperature more towards "bright white". The base is strong and heavy enough to support the many configurations in which the parts can be assembled, although the connection on the back of the base to the power supply may require a small factory adjustment - all it takes is a simple push to insert. plug, but rotating the base may loosen the plug connection. It's low voltage and I don't consider it a safety issue. The eight bulbs are bright but have no "hot spots" or glare. Due to the number of bulbs in the smaller fixture, the light is diffused quite a bit and illuminates my kitchen perfectly for entertaining or when I need extra light for cleaning. The joints of the tree's "trunks" form a seamless connection, and from several feet away you'll never guess it's a modular piece. I hope Tenergy will come out with a softer bulb in the future so I can use it like a chandelier on my piano. Overall I am very happy with this item and plan on decorating it with a red tinsel garland for the holidays.
