Review on AMVR 3D 360° Sound Stereo Headphones - Custom Comfort for Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset by Justin Frazier

I immediately had a bad impression when I noticed that the packaging they came in was the same as the Quest 1 headphones. It even mentions the CE1 model and shows a picture of the Quest 1 version of the headphones. Thank goodness there was a real version of the Quest 2 product inside - they just didn't bother opening the new boxes. The instructions provided were good as you will need to fit 1 of 2 3M rubber pads depending on the Quest 2 harness you are using. It was a nice touch. Unfortunately, that's where the pleasant touches ended. Even before installing the headphones, I was (carefully!) adjusting them up and down when the top of one of the rails broke off. I think they forgot to put it on or something. I was able to snap it back into place, but it feels like it's going to pop out again at any moment. In this case, the right earphone may fall out. So even if I kept them to myself I would have to return this particular pair. When it came time to use them, I downloaded Pavlov to my PC and headed to the shooting range. I was immediately disappointed by how tinny and awful these headphones sounded. I know they won't be super high quality for the price, but they were low-level "dollar store headphones". No bass, very tinny sound, just terrible. As an A/B test I turned them off and the built in audio from the strap sounds much better. To try something musical I also included the Beat Saber demo and it was awful there too. I don't consider myself a music lover and yet I was disappointed with the sound. I've also tried PSVR Mantis headphones in the past and found them bad too, but not as bad as these. Why would anyone buy them? I guess what if other people were in the room and you didn't want them to hear what you were playing and you didn't already have another pair of headphones? That's the only reason I can think of. Don't waste your time or money on these things. I'm still waiting for the real CV1 (or rather Index) which looks like a headphone.
