My son is of solid build averaging 6ft 1in tall and weighs 175lbs which is very good for him with room to grow. The summers in Arizona are (very) hot and the material is breathable without sacrificing quality. The glide pads don't feel thick, but that's not a problem since the protection is there. Son felt a good glide or two with no discomfort. The length of the shorts offers more compression closer to the knees, but if you are not looking for long shorts then this product is not for you. Our son loves the short length and its compression allows for faster and better recovery time. The cup is held in such a position that anyone wearing it feels like the cup isn't there, which is a great feeling for any athlete.
