The intended use of these clips meant I had to "assemble" each clip. It was very tiring and labor intensive to be honest. After "assembling" the clips, I had to build actual mini LEDs individually (700 individual bulbs in my house) into each clip to get the look I wanted. But I don't blame the product for the lengthy installation. . My only concern is that if you want to mount the individual bulbs straight up and down, you'll have to "assemble" the clip. ALL THAT WAS SAID: Great product once you assemble it and install it in a home with lights installed. I managed to get the fixings neatly and evenly attached to the gutters and to the edges of the tiles. VERY clean looking after all said and done. Its worth it.
