No alternative to the standard egg slicer
I liked the idea of a multifunctional egg slicer. Slicing hard-boiled eggs into small squares of lettuce is much more difficult with this slicer because you have to carefully match the wire cutters to the base. The egg tends to smudge rather than cut nicely. It works well with strawberries and avocados. Additional slicers are fun and compact. Cleaning is no easier or more difficult than any other egg slicer. As the main reason for buying it as stated above was to cut the eggs this is not true.
