Review on The Ultimate Power Tool: DEWALT DCD760KL 18V Cordless Lithium Ion Drill by Malik Axmed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good! fits power drills

I bought this kit after my Bosch fell on a concrete floor. 18V has enough power and torque to get the job done. The drill is well balanced with the battery connected and sits where you put it. The length of the drill itself works well in tighter spaces. The battery charges quickly. Yes, lithium-ion batteries do not warn of an impending discharge, but they provide full power until then. And with a spare included, there will never be a problem running out of juice to do just about any job a homeowner would use it for. It is easy to adjust the TQ setting for tightening screws and the controls are easy to use during use. The LED lamp is very convenient for illuminating the drilling site, so you don't have to hold a flashlight or an assistant in your mouth. This drill is perfect for my needs! If you have one of the battery packs in the charger, the case has room for a small case of drill bits or screwdrivers, which Revain should purchase along with the drill bit. 8/17/12 I've been charging a battery for a while since I bought this drill bit set. I then charged both batteries. I've been using the same battery since I did some small jobs around the house like hanging pictures, tightening screws, etc. I still have the same battery! I don't know how this would work for a contractor, but for the average homeowner who wants a good drill for "normal" use, this is great. I drilled some 2" deep holes with a 1/2" bit in hardwood and had no problem getting enough torque to get the job done.

Pros
  • Compact batteries (DC9181) compatible with existing 1996 DEWALT 18v power tool system
Cons
  • Very expensive
