We're renovating an old house that's for sale and it's a bit tiring. One of us stays the night at least once a week. The bed was old and hard and I think from the 90's! This was a great temporary fix for a good nights sleep. When the topper arrived it was packed in a vacuum cylinder and it took some effort to get it out. After pulling out and opening, it took about half a day to expand to the size of a bed. This topper has given us the best night's sleep we have had in this home. It suits your character. He's not soft, he's supportive. We have a topper at home and it's much softer (and better). I suspect some of the firmness of the original mattress has come through. Overall it's great, economical and has breathed new life into that old mattress.
