I was driving home on an unusually cold night for Waco, Texas and my Check Engine light came on. I noticed that the engine temperature was low, but otherwise the car ran fine. I got home and plugged in the code reader. P0128 - The car is not warming up fast enough. Two main solutions: new thermostat or temperature sensor. I did a live data test and found that the temp sensor seems to work because the longer the machine runs the warmer it gets, but the warm up time was long. So it's most likely the thermostat. I replaced an old faulty thermostat with this on my 2010 Crown Victoria P7B and the check engine light has gone out and the car is running at normal temperatures again.
