After that I couldn't start the engine.

I was unable to start the engine after installing this thermostat because the gasket that came with it didn't fit my car. This thermostat is not a replacement drop for Mustang GT. I had to go to the parts store down the street and buy the correct o-ring. It was a big disappointment.

Pros
  • Quality stainless steel and copper construction
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Not installed yet but pleased so far

I will post an updated review when I install this on my 2000 F150. But so far I'm satisfied. The item arrived on time and appears to be in good condition. I noticed that the description under my car says to "throw away the seal that came with it" and buy an extra seal, gasket, etc. Well mine did NOT come with the original seal at all so I'm glad I bought an extra seal to fit my truck. Otherwise I would have to order it now and it would be a delay for me if I was in a real hurry to get the thing

Pros
  • Improved strength and durability
Cons
  • Good but not great

fixed my Check Engine Code P0128

I was driving home on an unusually cold night for Waco, Texas and my Check Engine light came on. I noticed that the engine temperature was low, but otherwise the car ran fine. I got home and plugged in the code reader. P0128 - The car is not warming up fast enough. Two main solutions: new thermostat or temperature sensor. I did a live data test and found that the temp sensor seems to work because the longer the machine runs the warmer it gets, but the warm up time was long. So it's most likely…

Pros
  • Installation Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Very Expensive
