A few years ago my husband and I switched to a French Press for the flavor and texture. We broke two glass carafes and the last press we had was weak and the screen kept popping up. It was an investment for us and I was nervous about using a stainless steel press. I was concerned about the taste and didn't know how I would feel if the screens scratched the sides of the carafe. An excellent device from the first use. It's strong, tastes no different than other pressed drinks we've used, and the strainers slide down the sides of the carafe. Five months and I love it. This could be the last French press we'll ever buy.
