Easy to use for children and adults. One button to start/stop. A reset button. Power button to save battery power. No unwanted calendar or alarm functions. Unexpected apps will not appear if you accidentally press a key combination. The AAA battery compartment is easily accessible. Without unscrewing the back with a tiny screwdriver, you'll find you don't have a spare miniature SR241 battery that costs as much as a new stopwatch. It's heavier, but I like the weight and the big screen. I know I could use a stopwatch on my cell phone, but I'd rather not share my phone with younger students. This stopwatch is inexpensive enough to have a spare if the case cracks after spinning on the string and hitting the table.
