So far, so good! This halves the drying time. I can't compare it to Dyson (which I just can't bring myself to spend money on) but this dryer is worth the price. I don't have fine hair, but I have lots of it. Each strand is thin but I have a lot of them and it takes about an hour to dry my hair (with a round brush) with a good cheap blow dryer. With this new one it could take 10-15 minutes. The buttons are also in a more convenient spot and I almost never press them accidentally. Also, I don't need super heat with this one. Even if I didn't make it as hot as a cheap dryer. I've only used this a couple of times as I only wash my hair once or twice a week but there was no heat damage with this hair dryer. I love it
