Unlike older iPads like the iPad4, the iPad Air doesn't have a user-replaceable glass screen/digitizer. If you are a DIYer like me you will find it very difficult to separate the glass/digitizer from the LCD. Better buy a glass/digitizer/LCD assembly just to replace broken glass/digitizer.
