I had a pair of spark plugs that I couldn't get my fingers out after breaking them off with a wrench. Since they were screwed into aluminum heads, this made me nervous. I smeared it with anti-seize paste, wound it up with my fingers and pierced it with a wrench (after being absolutely sure that the threads were not twisted). He removed the charcoal and some of the aluminum filings. I was able to easily thread the new spark plugs all the way in by hand, using a wrench for just the last 1/4 turn. Engines are expensive! It's definitely worth the money for the peace of mind that my earplugs will stay in place and be easy to pull out next time.
