I bought a plastic + metal set. The metal scraper is functional and just what I need; it works, as you can see, almost as you would expect: a slightly slanted scraper for removing labels from hard surfaces. The real surprise was the plastic scraper. I wasn't expecting much when looking at the pictures as it's really just a piece of plastic, curved on one side and flat on the other. In practice, however, it blows through the long-stacked labels on quite a few plastic containers in my kitchen. I run around removing all those old, dishwasher-washed 50's labels on rubber-lined containers and giggling like an idiot. An absolutely wonderful product.
