Not fully compatible with Mac
Attention buyers: After several calls to ViewSonic support I am hesitant to return this monitor. Nobody's fault, but you can't get full 2K resolution from this monitor via a Thunderbolt 1 to HDMI adapter. You need a Thunderbolt 2 or 3 adapter (added to Macs by Apple in 2017). If you're using a different computer, just make sure you have Thurderbolt 2 or 3 outputs and quote the price of the adapter you need for full resolution before buying this great (looking) monitor - these adapters are not cheap.
