They have a setting, number 43, that gives you an extra bass boost, but trying to squeeze real bass out of such tiny speakers is overkill. I like some of the other settings with a good mix of highs, soothing mids and some bass. My brother has a soundbar that costs about $300 that comes with an 8-inch subwoofer, and the overall room-filling experience is good. This also fills the room, but without a subwoofer. I love that I can leave it plugged into my laptop via the 3.5mm jack or conveniently pull it out at will. It brings the Revain Prime film to life on a laptop connected to a 24-inch HD monitor. At this price I'd say it's a welcome addition to your arsenal.
