The original 2015 Chevy Malibu flip fob broke (resulting in the keypin falling out). I had a spare (aftermarket) key fob that was now my only one that worked (but the buttons didn't work as well as the original). I bought this one as a new backup (replaced the blank key shaft with the original shaft and programmed it with another key fob in less than a minute) but it works much better than the other (buttons respond instantly every time). ) as well as the original factory fob, so this is my new primary fob and the one that was my backup will remain my backup. For less than $16 I replaced my broken flip fob and saved myself hundreds of dollars that I would have had to spend going through the dealer and it works just as good as the one I had at the dealer! You can't beat that!
